Our Story: From Army Truck to Industry Leader
Humble Beginnings: 1946
In 1946, America was transforming. Gas cost just 15 cents a gallon, a new house averaged $5,600, and Waupaca County was dotted with 83 one-room schoolhouses. That same year, brothers Syd and Oliver Faulks returned home from serving in World War II with a vision for their future.
Armed with nothing more than determination, a few shovels, and an old Army surplus truck, the Faulks brothers began delivering sand and gravel to customers throughout the Waupaca area. This simple service formed the foundation of what would become one of Northeast Wisconsin’s most trusted construction and materials companies.
Growth Through Generations
From those humble beginnings, Faulks Bros. Construction steadily expanded its services and reach. Today, the third generation of the Faulks family leads the company, honoring their grandfather’s legacy while driving innovation and growth into new markets and services.
What began with a single truck has evolved into a comprehensive construction and materials operation serving both residential and commercial customers throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Our core commitment to quality, service, and community remains unchanged after more than 75 years.
Serving Our Community
Many of our services continue to focus on helping Waupaca County residents improve their properties. Homeowners can visit our yard to pick up decorative stone, topsoil, or even a small bucket of sand for projects around their homes. For larger undertakings, we bring our professional equipment and experienced operators directly to your site for basement excavation, driveway construction, grading, pond installation, demolition, and other sitework needs.
Expanding Horizons
While maintaining strong local roots, Faulks Bros. has extended its reach far beyond Waupaca County with its Waupaca Sand & Solutions division. This specialized division supplies premium maintenance materials and specialty sands to golf courses and athletic fields across Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, and numerous other states.
